Pairs and Spares Class Ministries
Smoke Rise has many Church-wide ministries, and in addition, our class has undertaken a number of our own.  Our class ministries are administered by a mission committee, which includes Kathy Goodenow (Chair), Denny Goodenow, John Holley, Jim Howard, Susan Johnson, Jean L'Amoreaux, and Roy Vreeland
Dream House: Laura Moore has had a dream she is now able to realize, to provide a safe and loving atmosphere for medically fragile children, kids who are dependent on life-supporting treatments, medication, therapy, or equipment to survive.  The medically fragile children Laura wants to minister to have no home,  no family and no future.  No hope.  Today they must live for months or even years in a hospital room because their families are incapable or unwilling to care for them.  Class members have visited the home and two are on a Dream House committee or work group.  The class has donated money to go towards renovations of the facility.  Our Charlie Ray has been honored for his work with this organization.
Tijuana minister Fernando support:  Fernando is the minister that the Tijuana missions group works with on trips to San Diego.  Fernando’s monetary support has recently been reduced.  He is having difficulty in buying gas and meals on his current funds.  The class is providing a consistent amount of money each month.
